Energy Ethics Economics Environment
Okay, Some explanations
Energy
What can I say; we're all made of it. Can't do a thing without it. So, when the world confronted me with the concept of Hubberts Peak, and more intelligent people were explaining what it was, I took notice and decided to help with it's social acknowledgment, edification of, and preparation for.
Ethics
Much of what we are doing in the world, as a species, is related to our ethical singularity. I'm sure there are many thoughts, models, treatises, and studies to describe how we act. My favorite is, and the one that makes the most sense to me, posited through the works of Riane Eisler. It has an engineering elegance to it and seems to fit what I can observe of the world. This model is the Domination vs Partnership Paradigm (one might say arrangement).
Economics
It's partly personal you see. Not one to be attached that much to little pieces of paper, I would still like to see more of it pass my way and be able to do something useful with it. In my mind it's related to energy. I don't think printing more of it would help but printing some different money, more useful money would help. The debt has me worried as well although maybe the next dominant society (China?) will avoid the pitfall that has befallen the US Empire.
Environment
Strange weather we're having, eh? It used to be that talking about the weather was considered safe. Not anymore. It's now political although soon, if we don't do something about it, it will seem diabolical. Plan A or Plan B or Plan C, it's our choice.
So, I've added some counters on the next page of quantities that concern me.
