Let the Celebration Begin!
It is 2018. This year my celebration of oxygen will revolve around MY Third Trek Across Maine Bike Ride, running as usual from Sunday River, Newry to Belfast, Maine; from the Hills to the Sea. This ride will support American Lung Association and programs that will benefit the people of Maine for a cleaner atmosphere and healthier lungs.
My intention in this endeavor is to ride to the beginning of the Trek, so, from Belfast to Newry.
Carbon running rampant through the skies, I feel it's time to pay attention to Oxygen. Therefore, it's time to Celebrate Oxygen! In that vein, my ride for the ALA will also be a ride for Oxygen! From humble roots, the Celebrate Oxygen Campaign is born. For many millenia, humans have celebrated Carbon. From our discovery and awareness of Fire, the burning stick, then Charcoal, Coal, Petroleum, and Methane, we have basked in this abundance and our ingenuity for using it. Until today. Now Carbon runs rampant in the skies, our actions have changed every aspect of life on Earth, and the burning of fossil fuels has gobbled up Oxygen, the Oxygen that we, and other beings who walk the Earth, need to thrive. Therefore, I welcome you on this journey to Celebrate Oxygen, find best ways to use it, constructive ways to produce it, and creative ways to rejoice in it.
Thank you...
Let me know what you are doing with Oxygen...
